The T:LAN NetPlex/NetStream can be rapidly deployed in a wide variety of networking environments. The diagram below shows how easy it can be to install and operate the Dual T1/E1/DSL WAN PipeLine mode, aggregating the bandwidth of two DS1 circuits into a single 3.072 Mbps channel with built-in fault tolerance.

Fault tolerant.

Traffic will be passed through even in the event of a single WAN circuit failure: the embedded OS takes care of the automatic fallback. No user intervention is required. As soon as all the facilities are available again, the T:LAN automatically switches back to the dual T1/E1/DSL PipeLine mode to fully utilize the available bandwidth. Additional resiliency is provided by the fact that the link aggregator mode tolerates large latency deviations between the two WAN circuits.

Modular. Expandable.

In addition, the T:LAN NetPlex/NetStream DX models feature two internal expansion slots. Each slot takes third party HDSL/HDSL2/HDSL4 modules (T200 style mechanics). This effectively eliminates the requirement for external DSLAM shelves, resulting in a compact, cost-effective solution for campus-wide DSL deployment applications.
